The large hotel has rooms and suits that are fully equipped, with entertainment specs to please any guest. Oubaai Hotel is 5 Stars and is the first in South Africa to have an 18 Hole Ernie Els signature golf course, making it the prime holiday golfing hotel in the country.
The rooms are spacious and luxuriously furnished with contemporary décor. The marble bathrooms really make you feel like you are experiencing the best. We recommend getting a room with an ocean view to make for mornings where you wake up to splendid view.
There is a full suite of facilities for guests, with the Freesia Spa where you can get treatment, a fully equipped gym, tennis and squash courts, and many more. You have the choice of a whopping four restaurants at the hotel. The restaurants have different styles, from casual breakfast at the Clubhouse, to intimate meals at Herolds Bistro and Bar.

The Protea Hotel is well located at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain range, and is in an elevated position that overlooks George Golf Course. It is 10 minutes from the airport and a perfect stop over when heading between the airport and wider areas of the garden route. There are three types of rooms, the standard double room, deluxe room, and suites. The room rates are charged per room, with each room able to accommodate 4 people if you make use of the sleeper couch. So there is a lot of value for the money for a group of two or a small family of four. All rooms come with complimentary high speed internet.
Facilities for your use include a beauty and wellness centre that offers a variety of spa services from body scrubs, to massages and therapeutic and cosmetic treatments. If you get hungry, there is an on-site restaurant called the Fairway Terrace restaurant. Room Service is available in the suite. The restaurant is airy and light, with views over the golf course. The menu is buffet style and offers affordable prices (R210 at the time of writing) and value for the money.
There is also a bar/pub, The Rex Tavern, which serves a selection of local and international beverages, coupled with a classical atmosphere with a pool table and patio. The hotel is surrounded by lush gardens which make for great relaxation if you are so inclined.
