You can’t visit a coastal town without hitting the beaches, and in Langebaan you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches you can visit. The main beach is Langebaan Beach, providing you with white sandy coastline and the perfect spot for various water sports. The main road that leads to the beach is also lined with restaurants and shops for your convenience. If you are looking for a beach that is slightly more wild Calypso beach offers warm and calm waters that are perfect for swimming and body surfing, due to the water having almost no currents. For the more youthful crowd who want hit the streets and paint the town red while in Langebaan, Flamingo Nightclub is the main nightclub to head to for a jol when you are in the town. The club has been around since 1993 and has been entertaining club goers on the West Coast for over 25 years. The drinks in the club are affordable and the music is loud (plus it’s likely the only club you will see with a bus inside). Patrons are treated to a variety of bands, famous Afrikaans singers, and the occasional international DJ with tunes that vary from Langarm to Disco and House.

For a more traditional bar atmosphere, you can hit Die Watergat. The bar is great for a bite or to socialize with friends. Laguna Mall I Langebaan’s premier shopping destination. The presentation of the mall is perfectly in tune with the atmosphere if the quaint seaside town. Laguna mall is homely and great for the placid holiday feel that you will expect. If you want to get a bite to eat, you have the option of household names like Wimpy and Spur. If you want to indulge in something more exotic, Moksh Indian restaurant serves authentic Indian cuisine, well-known for its savory dishes and exotic curries. The chicken korma and lamb rogan josh are a hit with patrons. All in all, Laguna is a nice place to spend an afternoon with the family if you want to step out for a bit.

The Bay Gallery is one of the cultural sanctuaries of Langebaan. The gallery has been supporting local artists from the west coast for year, with a permanent exhibit of art pieces. West Coast Fossil Park

The West Coast Fossil Park is near Langebaan. You can see fossils of bears, sabre tooth tigers, short necked giraffes and many other animals which lived on the west coast 5 million years ago. The park is run from the Visitors’. There are guided tours to the dig site which are very informative. You can see the well-preserved fossils exactly as they were when they were buried millions of years ago. There is a restaurant on site were refreshments are served.
